about us

There are hundreds of PR agencies in London and thousands in the UK, but Rhizome, thank the Lord, is a different kind of agency with a different kind of business model (yes, yes, I know, you’ve heard that before). But dammit, it’s true.

We’re a different kind of PR agency because we never tie our clients, primarily small and medium sized businesses, into contracts — why would we when you want flexibility and we back ourselves? PR agencies without contracts, I’ll tell you this, are PR agencies that perform.

We’re different because we charge less than most other agencies but generate way more results. Steve McQueen was the Cooler Kid, we’re the Coverage Kings.

We’re different because we never pass our clients onto rosy-cheeked grads who haven’t got a clue.

But most of all, we’re different because, as former journalists, we understand what journalists want and always deliver. Our focus is on ROI, not EGO, and our clients, well, they kinda like that.

So, if you’re a small or medium sized business and are switching agencies or hiring an agency for the first time to do some traditional or online marketing and PR, drop us a line or rock up at our office for an ice-cool Vedett. We’d love to get to know you and find out more.

1 Rhizome | ˈrʌɪzəʊm
noun Botany

a continuously growing horizontal underground stem that puts out lateral shoots and adventitious roots at intervals; a philosophical metaphor developed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in their Capitalism and Schizophrenia (1972-1980) project. It is what Deleuze calls an “image of thought,” based on the botanical rhizome, which apprehends multiplicities. Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari used the term “rhizome” to describe theory and research that allows for multiple, non-hierarchical entry and exit points in data representation and interpretation. Basically, rhizome is all about chaos and pain. It’s the anti-PR PR.
