Spareroom.co.uk is a flat and house sharing website. It’s the place you go if you’re looking for a room to rent or if you want to rent out a room — either in your own house or, if you’re a landlord, one of your rental properties. Spareroom hooked up with Rhizome PR in August 2009, the objective being to raise their profile in the consumer media and increase traffic to the site. In the first month we worked with Matt and Rupert (a couple of wannabe, ageing rockers), we bagged ‘em a truckload of national coverage, giving their main competitor, HardRoomMate, a right old coverage hiding in the process.
